As a keystone in each of the communities we serve, the PPL基金会 contributes millions of dollars annually, partnering with nonprofit organizations working in the following areas.
教育
Building a strong foundation is critical to the success of today’s students. Contributions in this area will support equitable and engaging high-quality educational opportunities for all students, with a particular emphasis on those in need. Programs supported through grants include, but are not limited to – early childhood education; science, 技术, engineering and math (STEM) programs; literacy; summer learning; and career and college preparatory programs.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
PPL基金会 seeks to support communities where all are respected, valued and free to reach their full potential in life. 为此, the Foundation seeks to fund programs aimed at confronting racism and discrimination, advancing social justice and equity, improving multi-cultural relations and supporting minority-led organizations leading change in the communities we serve.
Sustainable 社区
A strong community is one in which all residents are empowered to fulfill their potential. Improving the lives and well-being of residents in central and eastern Pennsylvania by fostering the development of safe, strong and sustainable communities is a primary objective of the PPL基金会. Funding priorities include support for emergency and disaster preparedness, environmental conservation initiatives and neighborhood improvement programs.

We strive to build healthy communities through financial support to nonprofit organizations leading change in our Foundation’s core focus areas. Applications will be accepted January through March 15.

These capacity-building grants support nonprofit organizations working to improve the lives and well-being of residents by improving education; addressing diversity, equity and inclusion; and fostering the development of safe, strong and sustainable communities. Applications will be accepted August 1 through September 15.

Through these competitive grants, teachers can receive $1,000 in funding for educational projects such as science fairs, energy conservation projects, renewable energy demonstrations, math competitions and more. Applications will be accepted August through September 30.
Other Funding Opportunities
教育 Improvement Tax Credits
Pennsylvania’s EITC program allows PPL to invest in projects that improve access for high quality Pre-K and enhance education programs. Organizations must be pre-qualified by the state to participate. Applications are accepted annually from June 1 to July 15.

Through its sponsorship program, PPL supports community revitalization efforts, which includes programs focused on education, 艺术, 文化, 救灾, 健康和安全. Applications are accepted year-round.
